Open air concert broadcast live by MTV from the Planetarium, NYC.
The band soundcheck The Rising 3 times before the actual broadcast,
which was actually only the opening track - the band then went on
to perform the above concert through the driving rain. Part of the
show is available on DVD and SVCD. The broadcast performance of
“The Rising” was officially released (in rather dubious sound
quality) on the European “Lonesome Day” CD EP later the same year.
