Kreutzmann’s Billy & the Kids, Bob Weir, Bruce Hornsby, Buddy Miller, David Grisman, Eric Church, Greensky Bluegrass, Jimmy Cliff, Jorma Kaukonen, Los Lobos, moe., O.A.R., Railroad Earth, The Disco Biscuits, Trampled By Turtles, Widespread Panic, Yonder Mountain String Band and Phil Lesh's Communion. More artists are expected to be added later.

This tribute is the latest put together by Keith Wortman, who's executive produced tributes to Emmylou Harris, Gregg Allman and Levon Helm in recent years. Don Was will serve as the event's music director and will lead an all-star band backing the performers.

“It’s exciting to have so many phenomenal artists performing in this special musical tribute to my dad, Jerry Garcia!” said Trixie Garcia in a statement. “DEAR JERRY: CELEBRATING THE MUSIC OF JERRY GARCIA speaks volumes to Jerry’s lasting influence in the ears and hearts of his fans and fellow musicians. Join us in celebrating the legacy that inspired so many.”

“Jerry gave his heart, soul, and music to his band mates, fellow musicians, and to millions of fans around the world,” said Wortman. “Whether playing in the Grateful Dead, his acoustic and bluegrass bands or his beloved Jerry Garcia Band, his songs made us happy just to be alive. As all of us in the extended Grateful Dead family embark on celebrating 50 years of their music, I can’t think of a more fitting way to kick-off the festivities than by honoring Jerry and his songs at this extraordinary event. -Most copies in circulation have a curious glitch, with Dark Star restarting after

early 90s.

The splice in Checkin' Up @ 1:14 is very minor, and hardly noticeable

For unknown reasons, it appears that Jerry Garcia is missing for the first 5
songs, and Elvin Bishop plays lead guitar.   The crowd, Phil & Bob
acknowledge the missing Garcia after Smokestack, which must be the opener.
Wayne Ceballos adds vocals for Checkin' Up and BIODTL.  A faintly heard voice
off microphone could be Garcia's just before Checkin' Up.  Two days later
during the same run, Pigpen ended up a spectator for some songs while Bishop
& Ceballos sat in, so it seems possible that this is the case with Jerry,
given a laid back atmosphere.  

Deadlists vaguely indicates that this represents all of 6-6-69.   However, it
seems likely that some music may be missing before Lovelight.   The guests
are not present during Lovelight, and Garcia is playing on this version.  
This is perhaps the longest version of Lovelight known to have been played,
clocking in at just under 47 minutes.
