All tracks on Kum Back were recorded during the Get Back/Let It Be Sessions of January 1969, and all were recorded in the basement studio of 3 Savile Row, London, England. "I've Got a Feeling", track seven, was recorded on January 24, 1969, and is probably the earliest recording on this album. The first appearance of a vinyl copy of the recordings appeared on the black market sometime in January 1970. Many conventional record stores also began to carry the album that same year.

The Beatles – Tomorrow Never Knows (2012)
A new Beatles compilation titled Tomorrow Never Knows is being released exclusively on iTunes. The set contains 14 of the Fab Four’s “most powerful rock songs,” from “Paperback Writer” and “Back in the USSR” to “It’s All Too Much” and “Savoy Truffle.”
To mark the release, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl penned a note that will be posted with the set on iTunes. In it, he writes about the impact that the Beatles have had on him throughout his life, especially with the track “Hey Bulldog.” You can read the note in its entirety below:
If it weren’t for The Beatles, I would not be a musician. It’s as simple as that. From a very young age I became fascinated with their songs, and over the years have drowned myself in the depth of their catalogue. Their groove and their swagger. Their grace and their beauty. Their dark and their light. The Beatles seemed to be capable of anything. They knew no boundaries, and in that freedom they seemed to define what we now know today as ‘Rock and Roll.’
“Recently I showed my 6-year-old daughter, Violet, the brilliant Yellow Submarine movie. It was her introduction to The Beatles, and she instantly shared the same fascination I felt when I was her age discovering The Beatles for the first time. She wanted to know their names, which instruments they played, who sang what song, etc etc etc….it made me so incredibly happy (and proud!). Within days she knew the verses and choruses to every song on the album. But, there was one song that stood out for her….
‘”Hey Bulldog” is not one of The Beatles’ greatest hits. It’s what most people would consider a ‘deep cut.’ But it is a quintessential Beatles rocker. By the time the Capitol Records released Yesterday And Today, the Beatles were in hot water in America. The record was released just after John’s infamous interview in which he stated that the Beatles were “bigger than Jesus”, which angered Americans and provoked many bans on their music and public incinerations of memorabilia. But Yesterday And Today would take public dispproval to a whole new level, as the original cover featured the band in butcher’s smocks with baby doll parts and raw meat covering them. The record was pulled almost immediately – creating an instant collector’s item – and in the confusion that followed, several replacement covers were issued. Songs on the album were taken from the ‘leftovers’ of the British release Rubber Soul as well as the…
single/B-side “We Can Work It Out/Day Tripper”, and three songs which had not, at that point, been released in the UK: “I’m Only Sleeping”, “Doctor Robert”, and “And Your Bird Can Sing” (which all wound up on the UK version of Revolver).

Two CD collection containing the first ever studio recordings by the Beatles, released to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of the original sessions. Released in one complete collection for the first time in North America, this compelling two CD collector’s set beautifully captures the moment in the lives of John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison right before they rocketed to international stardom. The earliest days of the Beatles have never been revisited in such detail and design. The set includes every recording they made for Polydor in 1961 and 1962. Multiple adaptations have been released throughout the past several decades – some in mono, some in stereo – each with distinctly different sounds. Most notably, the U.S. versions of these tracks were overdubbed…

The Beatles - Complete Christmas Collection 1963 - 1969 [1994, 320]
From 1963 until 1969 the Beatles put together single-sided flexi discs with a Christmas message that were distributed to their fan club members. All seven of these were included in a 12" LP and sent as a final farewell to members in 1970. Various bootlegs of that limited LP have been floating around for years, and with assorted outtake material and rehearsal chatter included, plus the complete acetate of "Christmas Time (Is Here Again)," that is what has been assembled here in this festive boot from Yellow Dog Records. Aside from "Christmas Time," which is a pretty good holiday song by any standards, nothing reaches serious artistic heights, but the sheer zany joy of the Beatles is pretty irresistible as they joke and pun their way through short skits and fractured Christmas carols. By 1965 everything gets drenched in reverb and quick edits, and tape loops by 1967 make these recordings in their own way as experimental as any of the group's serious material. John Lennon's genius for wordplay is rampant everywhere, and odd horn blasts and snippets of songs dart in and out. By 1969 the four Beatles were recording their holiday messages separately, and the sequence was edited together for unity and yes, Yoko is there, too. As a sort of alternate history of the Beatles told through holiday tidings, The Complete Christmas Collection is fascinating and fun, and makes one wish that it could have gone on forever.
