STEVE HOWE - Homebrew 1 (1996)
This is a collection of Steve Howe demos mostly from the late eighties and early nineties with a few older songs tossed in. Much of this album is repetitive, as many of the tracks can be found on "Not Necessarily Acoustic: (although different versions)."At The Full Moon" and "Never Stop Learning" are early versions of ABWH's "Brother Of Mine." "Red And White" became "Birthright". "More About You" is an early form of a section of "Quartet." "Rare Birds" became "Vultures." "Big Love" mixed with his Turbulence song "Sensitive Chaos" became "I Would Have Waited Forever," (this track is the same one found on the bootleg release "We Make Believe." "Barren Land" has sections of "Order Of The Universe." The big surprise, "For This Moment" is a section of "The Revealing Science Of God," although the quality of
this track is rough. All in all this is a pretty interesting release.

STEVE HOWE - Homebrew 2 (2000)
In the second edition of his ongoing Homebrew series, Yes guitarist Steve Howe collects another heaping helping of demos -- made available for public consumption for the first time. As with his work with Yes, Howe is not afraid to let his acoustic "sensitive side" show, especially on such tracks as the album-opening "Masquerade" and "Beginnings" -- the latter of which sounds straight out of Renaissance times. Howe also gets to show off his chicken-pickin' talents on "Cactus Boogie," while also offering a Peter Gabriel-esque album closer, "Mule's Head Stomp." With fellow Yes mates Rick Wakeman and Jon Anderson also dropping by the proceedings, most Yes fanatics will want to sample some Homebrew 2.

STEVE HOWE - Homebrew 3 (2006)
Following in the footsteps of its preceding two editions, Steve Howe's Homebrew 3 collects previously unheard demos from the renowned guitarist of Yes, Asia, and GTR (not to mention Anderson-Bruford-Wakeman-Howe). As with the previous Homebrew releases, the tunes are primarily stripped down, and prominently feature Howe's guitar work. Included are the rapid-fire guitar riffing of the album opener, "Turbulence," songs you'd expect to hear if you could actually visit the sci-fi landscapes of Roger Dean's paintings (especially "Pyramidology"), and the stark acoustic guitar/voice ditty "Between Your Smiles." While it contains quite a few interesting musical bits, Homebrew 3 is obviously aimed exclusively at hardcore Yes and Howe fans. - cduniverse.com

STEVE HOWE - Homebrew 4 (2009)
In the line of the three previous volumes. For someone who is really into Yes and Steve, it should be interesting to hear first versions of their music. Photographs by Steve himself are used as background in the booklet pages. Sound is not the best, but keep in mind recordings were homebrewed. STEVE HOWE - TIME
2011 album from the British guitarist, an album of cool instrumentals that bridges classical, jazz and country. Time is a collaboration between Steve Howe, best known as guitarist with Yes and Asia, and producer Paul K. Joyce, who has worked widely scoring for television and film. Steve Howe first contacted Paul in 2007 after reading an interview with him and suggested they work together on an orchestral project, combing through tunes Steve had been accumulating, including some he'd worked on with his friend Paul Sutin, with whom he'd released two albums in 1995. Time includes several Howe originals, as well as tunes by Paul and Steve's son Virgil and unconventional takes on classical pieces by Bach, Villa-Lobos and Vivaldi. - cduniverse.com
