Drawing on the talents of up-and-coming Nashvillians Andy Hall, Chris Eldridge, Chris Pandolfi, Jeremy Garrett, Jesse Cobb, and Travis Book, The Infamous Stringdusters manage to balance a fluency in old-timey bluegrass with indie jamgrass sensibilities. They released their first album, Fork in the Road, on Sugar Hill in early 2007, which resulted in three awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association later that year. An eponymous sophomore effort arrived in 2008, followed by Things That Fly in 2010.
The Infamous Stringdusters release a new studio album, Silver Sky, on March 13 via the band’s own High Country Recordings label. The album takes a new direction with the help of hip-hop producer…
…Billy Hume (Nas, David Banner, Ludacris) and also marks the group’s move to a five-piece band following the departure of founding mandolin player, Jesse Cobb.
