Shredding the Blues: Live at My Father's Place features blues guitarist Roy Buchanan performing with his band in 1978 and 1984. These are raw live recordings and, as such, do not feature pristine sound quality. Nonetheless, they still capture Buchanan's searing guitar style and laid-back vocals, all framed by an enthusiastic audience. In that sense, Live at My Father's Place offers much to enjoy for Buchanan fans. - allmusic.com
