JOHN MAYALL - LIVE IN LONDON
John Mayall, “The Godfather of the Blues,” continues to draw audiences to his live shows, including this one, which was recorded at the Leicester Square Theatre in London on November 1, 2010. Anybody who’s a fan will recognize most of the tunes contained in this 2-CD set or on DVD. The one tune that most people consider his signature tune is “Room To Move,” and in this rendition Mayall manages to breathe new life into it. As the liner notes say, it’s a “Room to Move” to remember. You’ll hear new and different scat lyrics in it, plus it’s got a slightly slowed-down tempo, which gives it a totally different (yet still a jumping, mesmerizing) spin. When you consider that Mayall will soon turn 78, it’s all the more amazing what he accomplishes here. Another of Mayall's signature songs in this set is “California,” an anthem to his adopted home. You’ll also recognize “Chicago Line,” “Parchman Farm” and “Early In The Morning.” Mayall’s backing band for this performance includes Rocky Athas on guitar, Greg Rzab on bass, and Jay Davenport on drums.
Over the years, Mayall has introduced an amazing line-up of musicians, mostly guitarists. Marc Almond, Eric Clapton, Aynsley Dunbar, Mick Fleetwood, Hughie Flint, Andy Fraser, Peter Green, Don "Sugarcane" Harris, Dick Heckstall-Smith, Jon Hiseman, Harvey Mandel, Jon Mark, John McVie, Coco Montoya, Larry Taylor, Mick Taylor, Walter Trout and Buddy Whittington all got their first taste of fame working with Mayall, and they’ve all gone on to become household names on both sides of the Pond. - blogcritics.org

THE ROLLING STONES - Hampton Coliseum (Live 1981)
The Rolling Stones – Hampton Coliseum (Live 1981) (2012)
This performance took place on Keith Richards’ 38th birthday (December 18th 1981) in Hampton Roads, Virginia at the final show of The Rolling Stones’ 1981 North American trek supporting their chart-topping Tattoo You album. Long bootlegged, its original recording engineer Bob Clearmountain has gone back to the multi-track tape reels to remix and remaster it especially for official release.
Parts of this concert were released in excerpts on the 1982 LP Still Life (American Concert 1981); in particular — the blistering take on “Shattered”, a fun run-through of early Stones favourite “Time Is on My Side” (their first top-ten hit in the USA, which when re-released in this ’81 incarnation reached number sixty-two on the UK singles chart) and the performance of “Let’s Spend the Night…
…Together” where Mick alludes to the Pay-Per-View audience watching at home. That television broadcast infamously showed a fan rushing onto the stage during “Satisfaction” only to be unceremoniously dispatched by a blow from the backside of Keith Richards’ Telecaster.

Okayalright
As previously announced on their Facebook page, moe. performed without a set list at Winston-Salem, NC’s Ziggy’s.
The Buffalo-bred band used hand signals to stay on the same page and worked from a list of 27 songs. The group’s new approach seemed to work and yielded several notable segues.
moe. opened the night with a version of “32 Things” that wrapped around “Buster.” Near the end of their set, the members of the band segued into “Sticks and Stones” in the middle of “Waiting For The Punchline.” The band’s second set also included interesting transitions from “Captain America” into “Rise”, “She Sends Me” into “New York City,” “Brent Black” into “Water” and “Bullet” and “Zed Naught Z” into the end portion of “Brent Black.” Guitarist Al Schnier also busted out his “Backwoods” for the first time since January 10, 2007.
